[[Marucho Marukura]]'s Guardian Bakugan is an Aquos Preyas. Marucho obtained Preyas when he crashes Marucho's house party and he uses him to brawl the [[JJ Dolls]] [[Jenny]] and [[Jewls]]. Once he shows he can [[Special Attack|change]] his [[Attribute]] he is able to help defeat them with ease.

He later battles against [[Skyress]] alongside Tigrerra. However, despite their power they easily lose to her. He is the one who spills to [[Dan]] about [[Runo]] and [[Marucho]] going to [[Shun]]'s house, making everyone very angry at each other and [[Tigrerra]] angry at Preyas.

He later goes with Marucho and the other brawlers to search for the [[Infinity Core]]. After stepping on a switch in the lab the brawlers see a video diary left by [[Michael Gehabich]], which shows how [[Vestroia]] started collapsing and how the Bakugan came to Earth. After receiving an email from [[Klaus von Hertzon]], Marucho battles him but is defeated as Preyas is sent to the [[Doom Dimension]] by [[Sirenoid]] which makes [[Marucho]] very sad especially after Marucho was so worried about Preyas being sent to the Doom Dimension before he went into battle. Somehow Klaus retrieved him from the Doom Dimension to battle [[Marucho]], [[Runo]], and [[Dan]]. Klaus overuses Preyas in this battle to upset Marucho but through a combo they defeat him, changing him back to his normal self and using the Ability Card '''Pure Light''' to return him to Marucho.

After Dan and Drago get sucked into the Doom Dimension he loses the battle on purpose like the others to go and save them. After finding them they encounter the Six Ancient Warriors and are put through a test to make them evolve. When Marucho has to fight an illusionary version of himself, he gets angry almost costing him the battle because he hated his old self. But once Preyas was able to convince him that he shouldn't hate himself he is able to evolve into [[Preyas II]] during Marucho's battle with [[Frosch]].

After returning from the Doom Dimension he battles Drago so he can evolve. Although he and Angelo/Diablo are able to put up a good fight they still lose the battle.

In the anime Preyas has a very unique and strange personality. He is afraid of battle often trying to run in the middle of a fight (like in the battle against [[Saurus]] in episode 7). He is also always pulling jokes, many of which are disrespectful and make people angry. For instance, one time in the series he changed to the wrong [[attribute]] ([[Darkus (Legacy)|Darkus]] instead of [[Haos (Legacy)|Haos]]), which made Marucho upset. These jokes are mostly about what is around him and differ between the Japanese and Canadian version due to cultural differences.

Prior to being captured, he met [[Elfin]] and trained her how to fight. He also protected the [[Wontu]] and flirted with Elfin a lot. He was previously stuck as a statue in [[Prince Hydron]]'s palace, but he eventually joins back up with Marucho when the gang free them of their statue form. Based on Drago's statement of the capture of the other Six Fighting Bakugan, it is implied that Preyas was the first to be captured.

It is unknown what happened to Preyas Angelo/Diablo. They are presumed to be in [[New Vestroia]].

After he was freed he returned to Earth with Marucho and Elfin. After talking with Marucho about how he should have had the Aquos [[Attribute Energy]] since he was worried about Elfin's safety. Elfin overheard it but thought it was out of jealousy and in a huff Elfin left the safety of the mansion and was almost taken by [[Shadow Prove]] and Prince Hydron without even having to battle but Preyas rescued her. Preyas said he was a "cat whisperer" and he talked to the cat that found Elfin first. He and [[Minx Elfin]] battled against [[Dryoid]] and [[MAC Spider]]. However Elfin was still mad at him but after explaining what he said that she didn't hear they made up in the middle of their battle. After Elfin sacrifices herself to save Preyas and loses the Aquos [[Attribute Energy]] in the process, Preyas, in a mad frenzy, defeats Shadow and Hydron, and declares it to be for his "precious, little Elfin." After the battle when Elfin brings it up he starts to deny it and they started arguing again. However, during the battle against the Alternative, Preyas rescues Elfin and Marucho, the former of the two proclaiming him "my hero" and later after breaking into the alternative, she is shown resting against Preyas whom they along with Marucho remained behind to guard the rear while the rest continued on to the power generator.

He, along with the Brawlers and [[Gus]] battle the Alternative. Later they destroy it. After that he, Elfin, and Vulcan evacuated the area with Marucho and Gus.

Sometime in the weeks between the Alternative's destruction and Bakugan Interspace being repaired, Preyas returned to New Vestroia along with Elfin, Ingram, Tigrerra, Gorem, and Hydranoid.

In ''[[Return to New Vestroia]]'', Preyas is shown training a Bakugan named [[Amazon]]. Preyas was happy to see Dan and Drago and asked if [[Marucho]] had come with them, but was slightly saddened when Dan told them Marucho stayed on Earth. After some convincing from Preyas, Dan allows Amazon to brawl against Drago. Later Preyas tells Amazon that Drago is holding back so Drago uses his power and faints. Later Preyas and Amazon leave Drago and Dan. He also seems to wonder what is wrong with Drago and what they are going to do.

He appeared in ''[[Chaos Control]]'', talking to Drago and trying to encourage him. Later, [[Anubias]] comes along and challenges Drago. After Drago gets beaten down easily, Preyas steps in. He puts up a decent fight against Anubias' [[Chaos Bakugan]], but is defeated easily by [[Venexus]] and is mercilessly shot at. Later, he and Amazon hold off Venexus until [[Zenthon]] finishes him off. He then comments that are still a few things to work out with Drago's new powers and they will be there to help him saying "That's what friends are for."

He and Amazon were seen briefly on New Vestoria in ''[[The Final Takedown]]'' after the [[Dark Moon]] was destroyed.

While introducing Marucho's new Bakugan [[Radizen]] in ''[[Evil Arrival]]'' Dan says that Radizen has a habit of trashtalking his opponents and making humorous remarks much like many of Marucho's past partners, referring to Preyas among several other Bakugan.

In ''[[Blast From the Past]]'', he appeared along with an army of Bakugan trying to protect New Vestroia from [[Mechtavius Destroyer]], having been informed by the remaining Battle Brawlers that Mechtavius Destroyer was heading to New Vestroia. When Amazon was destroyed, Elfin jumped forward to make an attack on Mechtavius Destroyer, but she was destroyed as well, which saddened Preyas. Preyas was later killed after [[Taylean]], [[Master Ingram]], and [[Storm Skyress]] were killed.

Because the Brawlers used the [[Current of Time]] to go back before Mechtavius Destroyer killed him, he is now either living peacefully on New Vestroia or has reunited with Marucho.

In the second round, it used all of its power and defeated [[Thunder Wilda]] and [[Baliton]] really easily.

In ''[[Ultimate Bakugan]]'', he faced [[Drago]] and won the first and third rounds (he won the third round as [[Maxus Helios]]).

In ''[[Final Countdown]]'', he fought [[Maxus Dragonoid]] and it was a match until the next episode, ''[[Reunion]]'', which has not been determined because the battle was terminated and he still faced [[Drago]] in a head to head fight, which ended in a draw.

In ''[[Spectra Rises]]'', Helios was upgraded into a [[Helios MK2|Mark 2]] version of himself. He is the same Helios, but with more armor and more power. He can now become [[Maxus Helios MK2]] as well.

Viper Helios is a mean spirited dragon-like Bakugan. Spikes cover its arms and shoulders while hardened rumpled skin protects its legs from attacks. Horns point in both directions to defend its head. Colossal wings allow Viper Helios to fly avoiding attacks. It uses its fire breathing ability to melt oncoming artillery. Its long tail is used to fend off opponents during a battle.

Later, he uses Tigrerra's defeat and capture to taunt Drago in a battle. When the [[Resistance]], Spectra, Lync, and Gus are stuck on Earth, he helped Spectra capture [[Dan]]'s Bakugan [[Drago]] with a forbidden card. He faced [[Apollonir]] in a rematch against Dan, but was beat easily even with [[Metalfencer]]. [[Clay Fermin|Professor Clay]] turns him into a [[Mechanical Bakugan|Cyborg Bakugan]] to become the ultimate Bakugan. He was upgraded into [[Cyborg Helios]], and later [[Helios MK2]].

Maxus Helios is formed by combining seven different Bakugan: [[Cyborg Helios]], [[Subterra]] [[Scraper]], [[Ventus (Legacy)|Ventus]] [[Klawgor]], [[Darkus (Legacy)|Darkus]] [[Foxbat]], [[Pyrus (Legacy)|Pyrus]] [[Fencer]], [[Aquos (Legacy)|Aquos]] [[Leefram]], and [[Haos (Legacy)|Haos]] [[Spindle]]. It can battle as one mighty united force. Each Bakugan that composes Maxus Helios can also be used individually in battle. Even after Cyborg Helios is upgraded to its [[Helios MK2|Mark 2]] version, it can still form Maxus Helios. Maxus Helios has giant wings to blow away the competition, and huge legs to crush everything in his way. All of the Bakugan in this set are gray, with their attribute's colors as highlights. In Defenders of the Core, the pieces are called traps, even though they are normal balls.

In the Game, Maxus Helios was released in two variations. It was released in the normal [[BakuFrost]] and in the Toys"R"Us Special Color Variation. The [[BakuFrost]] Variation was a Mixture of a White Body with the Attribute Highlights. However the Toys"R"Us Variation had a Grey Body with the Attribute Highlights. Both had cost between twenty and seventy US Dollars. The Normal Maxus Helios parts could be bought individually but the Toys"R"Us Exclusive could only be bought in a Set. His pursuit for power and obsession with creating the strongest Bakugan, a vision he shared with Helios, put him at odds with not only the [[Bakugan Battle Brawlers Resistance|Resistance]] that Mira led, but eventually with the rest of the Vexos themselves. At the end of the season's first arc, he is labeled a traitor by others, causing him and his loyal aide, [[Gus Grav]], to become free agents. Though the two continue to clash with the Resistance, they eventually become allies as they fight their common enemy, [[Zenoheld]].

He returns in the first arc of ''[[Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge]]''. In his quest for power, he has become a [[Darkus]] brawler and Helios has been transformed into Darkus [[Infinity Helios]]. The two are the last to join the season's [[Battle Brawlers]].

Spectra appears in the video game ''[[Bakugan: Defenders of the Core]]'' in his ''New Vestroia'' persona, serving as the game's main antagonist.

==Appearance==
Spectra is a man with a long blond hair that is often spiked up. His Vexos outfit mainly comprises his iconic red mask and red leather coat decorated with black feathers. Underneath, he wears tan pants and [[wikipedia:Gakuran|Gakuran-like]] outfit fastened by gold [[wikipedia:Ouroboros|Ouroboros]] motifs. He also wears ankle-high boots and white gloves.

Spectra's iconic red mask covers the upper part of his face. A small, blue iris appears on a black eye socket, the iris vanishing when the mask is removed and appearing with a red glow when the mask is put back on, and it changes his voice as he put a voice modifier chip in it. He only has one eyehole on the right side while he has no eyehole on the left. The mask might have a computer in it, because it beeps in recognition when Spectra puts it on.

Because of this imposing appearance that compliments his brutal brawling techniques, Spectra earned the title of {{nihongo|''"Glacial Blaze"''|氷の炎|Koori no Honoo}} in the Japanese version. He occasionally takes off his feathered coat during his time with the Bakugan Battle Brawlers Resistance.

Prior to becoming Spectra Phantom, he had a wavy pink hair in the same hue as his father. He wears a very casual outfit comprising of a white sleeveless shirt with gold motifs and blue pants.

In ''Mechtanium Surge'', to reflect his attribute change from Pyrus to Darkus, the color scheme of his attire has changed. He wears a black mask of equal length and black version of his original outfit from New Vestroia, with the edges are ripped lined and purple tones.

==Personality==

Spectra is cruel and uncaring, serving as an enigma for a majority of ''New Vestroia''. This causes those affiliated with him to constantly contemplate the villain's wants, desires, intentions, and even his true self, as seen when Mira starts to believe he is her long-lost brother and when Shun questions Spectra's true purposes during the [[New Vestroia]] evacuation.

He is willing to do whatever it takes in order to attain victory, as seen by his shameless activation of [[Forbidden Ability Cards]]. He also is power-hungry, first seeking to rule all of [[Vestal]] and later seeking and try to harvest the power of the [[Perfect Core]] Energy from [[Drago]] and desiring his [[Helios]] to become the [[Ultimate Bakugan]]. He is confident, sometimes even overconfident, in his abilities, not even the least bit intimidated by any opponent; he calls [[Apollonir]], one of the Six Legendary Bakugan, an "old Bakugan" and an "old fool." (Perhaps needless to say, Dan and Apollonir won the battle.) Spectra is lastly shown to get carried away during battle, beginning to scream and laugh evilly, or even insult his opponents. Even his [[Guardian Bakugan]], [[Helios]], acts with Spectra's same mannerisms.

Spectra is also very cunning, able to trick opponents easily and lead others into tempting situations when attempting to convert someone over to his cause, as seen when he first showed Gus "true power." He is also unafraid to make threats or even take hostages, as seen when Spectra threatens [[Dan Kuso|Dan]] with [[Runo Misaki|Runo]]'s life. Spectra proves to be loyal to only himself, eventually turning his back on the Vexos to pursue his own goals after deeming [[Hydron]] unworthy of owning the statues of the Six Warriors of Vestroia, and refuses Dan's several offers to team up.

Despite his great cruelty and ruthlessness, however, Spectra is not without his more "human" emotions: he still feels connected to Mira and even begins to miss Gus when he is believed to be dead. He is not completely without moral fiber, either; he frees the captured [[Ace Grit|Ace]], [[Marucho Marukura|Marucho]], and Shun in [[Beta City]] for Mira's sake, and willingly aids Dan in evacuating [[New Vestroia]] when the threat of the newly activated [[Bakugan Termination System]] arises. His final loss to [[Dan Kuso]] causes him to see the error of his ways. While "Spectra Phantom" is no longer Keith's main identity, his mannerisms have not completely left, especially in battle where he continues to use ruthless tactics.

Before becoming Spectra, Keith was very attached to both his father and Mira. He even spent time training her to use Bakugan. Even after becoming Spectra (for reasons unknown), he continued to feel a strong connection to his sister, willingly exposing his identity to her after she won her wager against Gus against Gus' wishes. He was finally able to see the error of his ways, abandoning the name Spectra and reverting to the way he used to treat Mira. While he was not trusted after his redemption at first, Keith soon became a brother-like figure to his old rival Dan Kuso. He retained his alter-ego's craftiness, using it on several occasions to aid the Brawlers.

Spectra Phantom makes his debut brawling against [[Baron Leltoy]] and [[Blade Tigrerra]]. He easily defeated her with Helios and took her to [[Hydron]], who froze her into a statue. This event and Spectra's cruelty would haunt Baron for some time. After Dan and Marucho join the Resistance and begin turning the tide against the Vexos, Spectra was forced to take matters into his own hands. Thus he proceeded to join in on Dan Kuso's on-going battle with [[Gus Grav]]. This caused Dan to struggle until [[Shun Kazami]] came to his rescue, [[Shun]] defeating Gus while Dan conquered Spectra. It was after [[Drago]] experienced a massive power surge via Helios's taunts about Tigrerra that Spectra started to show a small hint of betrayal, stating that he wouldn't let the magnificent [[Drago]] become a play thing, meaning that he wouldn't give it to Hydron if he captured it.

Spectra, along with Gus and [[Lync Volan]], trailed after the Brawlers and arrived on Earth through a [[Dimensional Transporter]], taking [[Runo]] as his hostage and offering Dan an ultimatum: join the [[Vexos]] or risk Runo's safety. The Brawlers split up to pursue their foes, Spectra revealing that he is actually against Prince Hydron's rule and wants to team up with [[Dan]] to take him down. In a show of good will, he released [[Runo]]. [[Mira]]'s suspicion of Spectra being her brother [[Keith]] only rose because of this action, as she believed that he infiltrated the [[Vexos]] to free the Bakugan. However, it is learned that Spectra and Gus only wanted to take down [[Hydron]] so that Spectra could succeed the role of ruler of the [[Vestals]]. Meanwhile, [[Dan]] refused to believe Spectra's intentions, and [[Alice]] soon warped in using [[Masquerade]]'s warp card. She took Spectra, Gus, and Dan back to the lab, where Dr. Michael sent Spectra and Gus back to [[New Vestroia]]. Unfortunately, the transporter needed to be repaired before another trip could be made. This left Spectra, Gus, [[Lync]], [[Mira]], and [[Baron]] trapped on Earth. During her time stuck on Earth, [[Mira Fermin|Mira]] battled a stranded Gus on the bet that if she won, Spectra would remove his mask, while Mira would fight with the [[Vexos]] against [[Prince Hydron]] if she lost. Mira planned on fighting Spectra himself, but Gus intervened, and Spectra allowed it. Mira won, and Spectra removed his mask, revealing himself to be [[Keith Fermin]], much to Gus's disapproval. Spectra left Mira in shock about the fact that her worst enemy was really her brother, [[Keith Fermin]].

Spectra later showed his true colors as a cruel and uncaring person when he activated a Forbidden Ability Card in order to capture [[Drago]]. He was told by an old fortune teller before his battle with Dan that his fate would be terrible if he continued on his chosen path, which he shrugged off. The second time he saw her, she said his fate was worse than before, Spectra shattering her crystal ball in response. He then went on to challenge Dan as planned, the Forbidden Ability allowing him to successfully obtain [[Drago]]. Spectra later used the power of the Forbidden Cards to push [[Drago]] to his limits in his second brawl with [[Dan]], the boy seeking to regain Drago from the antagonist. He teamed up with [[Apollonir]] to do so, throwing the Bakugan into Drago's body, thus freeing him from Spectra's grasp. However, Spectra did not seem to be angered at the loss, saying to Gus that he had collected all of the data he needed from Drago, which he later used to create [[Cyborg Helios]].

Spectra later convinced Mira to join the [[Vexos]] and trapped Dan and the others in an electrical cage so they would not go back to [[New Vestroia]]. Unfortunately for Spectra, they escaped and took Dr. Gehabich's Dimension Portal. However, only Dan and Baron could go back, as they were the only ones present with Gauntlets. Spectra helped Mira free [[Shun]], [[Ace]], and [[Marucho]] in the depths of [[Beta City]], saying only ''"You are in my debt, Mira", ''while [[Baron]] and [[Dan]] were brawling Shadow and Mylene. This gave him a level of distrust among his peers, especially [[Mylene]]. He and [[Clay Fermin|Professor Clay]] upgraded and changed [[Viper Helios]] into the Ultimate Cyber Bakugan. Spectra also battled Mira and came out victorious, forcing her to stay loyal to the Vexos. She later went back on her word by throwing the brawl with Ace and Dan, making Spectra visibly angry for the first time.

Spectra then found Dan outside of [[Gamma City]] and decided to challenge him in an attempt to eliminate [[Drago]] so [[Cyborg Helios]] would be the only [[Ultimate Bakugan]]. He then proceeded to use the powerful [[Maxus Helios]] against Drago by taking some Bakugan meant for [[Prince Hydron]] to use on Helios. After Vestal Palace's Dimension Controller was destroyed by the power spawned during the brawl, Spectra and Dan engaged in Gauntlet Combat. Before the palace exploded, Gus and the Bakugan that Mylene threw out, [[Mega Brontes|Brontes]] and [[Elico]], saved him. He and Spectra then fled to a distant part of the dimension to plan for their next move. He and Gus are both labelled as traitors by the Vexos after leaving them for dead.

Spectra now had every Bakugan the [[Vexos]] had thrown out. He worked with [[Gus Grav]] to force the Bakugan to evolve, using the Forbidden "[[Chaos Ability X]]" [[Ability Card]] to force evolution upon them, the two well aware that the evolution process induced by the Card could also remove the Bakugan's soul (This only happened to [[Brontes]], as [[Volt Luster]] would discover in a later battle with Gus as we can see in ''[[Brontes' Betrayal]]''). [[Mega Brontes]], [[Elico]], and [[Premo Vulcan]] were included in the process, evolving into [[Alto Brontes]], [[Blast Elico]], and [[Rex Vulcan]]. Now that [[Spectra]] was no longer allied with the [[King Zenoheld|King]], the [[Bakugan Battle Brawlers]] [[Resistance]] had two enemies, the Vexos and King [[Zenoheld]] himself after the six [[Attribute Energy|Attribute Energies]] while Spectra himself sought and try to obtain the [[Perfect Core]] Energy from [[Drago]] to make Helios the Ultimate Bakugan.

Spectra later returned and took on [[Dan Kuso]], [[Marucho Marukura]] and his sister [[Mira Fermin]] in a brawl. Although he defeated [[Marucho]] and [[Mira]], [[Dan]] eventually went on to defeat him. Spectra later jammed the system that allowed the [[Vexos]] to transport to [[Vestal]] and then went to [[Klaus von Hertzon]]'s mansion in search of the Brawlers. Finding only [[Klaus]] himself present, the two exchanged remarks, and Spectra left. [[Helios MK2]] wanting revenge on [[Cross Dragonoid]], Spectra beamed Dan up into his ship and challenged him to a brawl. However, Dan was victorious once more. Afterwards, Spectra and Gus promised to accompany the [[Resistance]] to the [[Vexos]]' palace. Spectra seems to have a change of heart, referring to Dan as his friend in thanks for enlightening him. He later goes to the Command Bridge and talks to Gus about an anonymous source that gave him information. He reveals shortly that by using data on Bakugan evolution, he planned to bring out even further power from within the Bakugan.

After the party arrived at the [[Mother Palace]], Spectra stated that the [[Resistance]] was on their own in shutting down the BT System. Spectra and Gus then appeared in front of [[King Zenoheld]] and the rest of the [[Vexos]]. After being accused of several treacheries, he warned [[King Zenoheld]] to stay away from the [[Resistance]]. Something Spectra did not plan for by making this venture, however, was the inevitable defeat of Gus when the ''"lapdog"'' challenged [[King Zenoheld]] to avenge his master. After approaching his father, [[Clay Fermin|Professor Clay]], Spectra offered him to join him in exchange for the complete Bakugan DNA. Professor Clay refused and said that he didn't even consider Spectra his son anymore. Afterwards, Spectra soon formed a temporary alliance with his rival [[Dan Kuso]] to avenge his fallen comrade, as the [[BT System]] was getting in his way of creating the [[Ultimate Bakugan]]. Although the duo had [[Battle Gear]] within their arsenal and [[Prince Hydron]] had been defeated, they still lost to [[King Zenoheld]] due Professor Clay's activation of the final level of the trap field they were standing upon.

After the [[Pyrus]] [[Attribute Energy]] was absorbed and the [[BT System]] began to activate, Spectra helped the [[Resistance]] launch a full-scale evacuation of [[New Vestroia]] using his ship to transport all of the Bakugan to Earth. However, [[Shun Kazami]] speculated that Spectra was only helping for his own purposes (Spectra desires to create the [[Ultimate Bakugan]], but if all the other Bakugan were destroyed by the [[BT System]], his [[Ultimate Bakugan]] won't be so "ultimate"). When time began to run out and the [[Resistance]] decided to bail out while they still could, [[Helios MK2]] left Spectra and confronted [[Drago]] about staying to evacuate the remaining Bakugan. The two then decided to head off and destroy the [[BT System]] together. After [[Cross Dragonoid]] evolved into [[Helix Dragonoid]] by absorbing the [[Attribute Energies]], [[Helios MK2]] and Spectra once again became [[Dan and Drago]]'s rivals before leaving [[New Vestroia]]. Spectra soon challenged Dan to a final battle to see who was ''"Number One".'' He, however, lost and admitted he should ''"be working with the best instead of against the best".'' Thus, Spectra and his [[Helios MK2]] joined the [[Resistance]].

Spectra removed his mask and outer coat, happily reuniting with his sister [[Mira]] and reverting to the name of his original persona, [[Keith Fermin]]. It was also revealed that Keith had begun to miss his partner [[Gus Grav]], and how Keith had obtained his [[Battle Gear]] was found out. Keith decided to get [[Dan and Drago]] a [[Battle Gear]], but to do so, he needed to engage Dan in battle again in order to test if the [[Battle Gear]] in question was right for Drago's body. He put his mask on once more, becoming Spectra yet again. He then challenged [[Dan and Drago]] in [[Bakugan Interspace]], finalizing [[JetKor]] as Drago's [[Battle Gear]].

When [[Mylene Farrow]] and [[Shadow Prove]] infiltrated [[Marucho's House]] to get the [[Battle Gear]] and [[Phantom Data]], the [[Resistance]] managed to ambush them. But when [[Mylene]] held [[Mira]] hostage, Keith said that he'd give them the data and not to hurt her. He led them to a room, managing to trick them into [[Bakugan Interspace]]. Keith then challenged them to a brawl. He (as Spectra's disguise) and [[Mira]] defeated the duo (destroying Mylene's [[Aquos]] [[Macubass]] and Shadow's [[Darkus]] [[MAC Spider]]), but when [[Mylene]] tried to send them to another dimension with a [[Death Bomb]], the [[Bakugan Interspace]] collapsed, trapping everyone inside. Keith and his sister [[Mira]] managed to escape, but they were unable to save [[Mylene]] and [[Shadow]].

Despite the Brawlers' plan to leave in the early morning to defeat [[King Zenoheld]] once and for all, Keith left on his own and challenged the King himself in the guise of Spectra, later with the help of [[Gus Grav]], whom Spectra was shocked to see alive. [[Zenoheld]] also revealed the [[Alternative]] Weapon before the end of the battle. At that time, the Bakugan [[Resistance]] arrived, and they will attempt to destroy the [[Alternative]] with the help of Keith and Gus. As the fight continued, Keith and his sister Mira managed to find a way into the [[Alternative]] by blasting a hole into it via Keith's [[Helios MK2]] and his new [[Battle Gear]], [[Zukanator]]. They found their father, who wished to protect his creation. When the others [[Resistance]] members managed to destroy the power reactor of the [[Alternative]], they also managed to escape, but [[Clay Fermin|Professor Clay]] was trapped behind and left behind when he saved [[Mira]] from being crushed by falling debris. The group reluctantly returned to the [[Vestal Destroyer]] as the [[Alternative]] blew up with [[Clay Fermin|Professor Clay]], [[Prince Hydron]] and [[King Zenoheld]] either inside or within the explosion's range.

The [[Vestal]] [[Resistance]], along with [[Gus Grav]] bid farewell to the Human [[Resistance]] members as they all returned to their own homes. The [[Resistance]] members all promised they would see the [[Battle Brawlers]] again someday. In the Japanese Ending of Episode 52 (''[[Final Fury]]'' in the English Version) he is shown to live his old life with [[Mira]]. She hands him a glass of juice and he receives it happily as she smiles at him.

Spectra and [[Infinity Helios]] return in ''[[Interspace Under Siege]]'', having received Marucho's distress SOS call and arriving in [[Bakugan Interspace]] via a [[Dimension Tunnel]]. He reveals that he and [[Helios]] had to change to [[Darkus]] in order for [[Helios MK2]] to evolve into [[Infinity Helios]]. He then assists the brawlers in helping to rid Bakugan Interspace of the [[Chaos Bakugan]].

In ''[[A Hero Returns]]'', [[Zenthon]] appears but [[Drago]] couldn't control him and, because of that, attacks all the Brawlers' Bakugan, included [[Infinity Helios]]. Spectra seems disappointed and sad about Dan's attitude and leaves the interior of the [[Bakugan Interspace]].

In ''[[Unlocking the Gate]]'', Spectra and [[Infinity Helios|Helios]] go to [[Gundalia]] on the [[Vestal Destroyer]] and help the Brawlers defeat the [[Chaos Bakugan]], [[Mag Mel]] and [[Razenoid]] for good using the [[BakuNano]] [[Bombaplode]]. He then leaves with Helios to go back to [[Vestal]], telling Dan to contact him anytime.

In ''[[Interspace Armageddon]]'', Spectra and Helios helped the Brawlers escape from Bakugan Interspace by attacking the remaining Mechtogan and summoning his own Mechtogan, [[Slynix]], to help in the battle. Helios and Drago fused their powers to stop Mag Mel from coming into Interspace when his Mechtogan created a portal. He also bought Dan and Drago time to leave Interspace as the Mechtogan enemies tried to attack Dan and the weakened Drago, but was trapped inside Bakugan Interspace as a result. Dan and the rest of the Brawlers believed that he didn't make it out alive, and Dan got upset about it.

In ''[[Dark Moon]]'', the [[Vestal Destroyer]] appeared with a silhouette of Helios on it, meaning that they managed to escape. He helps the brawlers battle Mag Mel with [[Gus Grav]] alongside him, and even allows Helios to merge his powers with Taylean to fight off the Mechtogan and Mechtogan Titans. He also gives Shun a [[Bakugan Battle Suit]], [[Blasterate]], for Taylean to use to break Razenoid's shield. Helios also unveils his own Battle Suit: [[Doomtronic]].

In ''[[The Final Takedown]]'', he with Helios, Gus, and [[Rex Vulcan]], attack many Mechtogan and [[Razen Titan]] using the [[BakuNano]] [[Bombaplode]]. He awaits Dan and Drago after they defeat [[Mag Mel]] and take flight to Earth, and congratulates him for saving the Earth and the whole universe.

==Plot==
[[Mira]] and [[Baron]] are stuck on [[Earth]] with [[Dan]], [[Runo]] and [[Julie]], so Mira decides that they need to take a break, so they go to an amusement park. Mira and Julie are separated from the rest of the group, and run into [[Spectra]] and [[Gus]], who say that they came back to Earth, by tracking Dan's [[Gauntlet]] to the amusement park. Mira wants to know whether or not Spectra is her brother [[Keith]], so she decides to brawl against him. However, Gus rearranges their deal, so she battles Gus instead. If she wins Spectra takes off his mask, but if she loses she has to join the [[Vexos]] against Prince [[Hydron]]. At first, Mira struggles against Gus's abilities, but with help from the "original" [[Subterra]] Master Julie and her Copycat [[Ability Card]], Mira pulls through and defeats Gus. Despite Gus' attempts to dissuade Spectra, he removes his mask and is revealed to be truly Mira's brother, Keith, confirming her suspicions. This left Mira in sadness, now forced to confront the truth that her brother is no longer who he once was.

*Dan takes Baron, Runo, Julie and Mira to an amusement park.
*Dan and Runo encounter Brandon, a kid who helped in the fight against Naga.

==Plot==
In the ensuing chaos in [[Bakugan Interspace]], the [[Battle Brawlers|Brawlers]] wonder what to do. [[Rafe]] makes a note that it is only the [[Chaos Bakugan]] that are on a rampage. The Brawlers then summon their [[Bakugan]] to save Bakugan Interspace. Meanwhile, [[Anubias]] says to all the other members of Team Anubias, "We can't be the champions of this place if it's destroyed" so Anubias has given [[Bolcanon]] to [[Ben]] and [[Krakenoid]] to [[Robin (Mechtanium Surge)|Robin]]. Then they leave alongside Jack but Anubias stops [[Noah]] and gives him [[Horridian]]. Noah seems happy that Anubias gave Horridian to him with Anubias seeming concerned about his "student".

Once they leave, [[Sellon]] mocks Anubias for his "concern" for Noah. He tells her to get lost. She reminds Anubias to focus on the task but Anubias mocks her for her failure against [[Dan Kuso|Dan]] and she then stops. As more and more Chaos Bakugan arrive, [[Marucho Marukura|Marucho]] thinks of an idea and he decides to move all of them to Section B and delete the whole area, despite the fact that it will create huge damage in the system. Marucho then sends out an emergency evacuation but just before that Rafe gives Marucho [[Crosstriker]] for Trister and gives Shun [[Hammermor]] for Taylean for the battle against the Chaos Bakugan. Then they, alongside [[Team Anubias]], continue to try to move the Chaos Bakugan to Section B of Bakugan Interspace.

Meanwhile, in some type of room, somebody receives an SOS message on his computer, which was sent by Marucho and a mysterious Bakugan is seen in the background.

Back in Bakugan Interspace, the Brawlers keep bringing the Chaos Bakugan to Section B of Bakugan Interspace. They then have finally successfully led all the remaining Chaos Bakugan to Section B. Marucho then plans to fire up the erase sequence but Taylean and Shun notices that Team Anubias are still there and he tells Marucho and the others. Rafe then tells Marucho to not do it because it will delete them too and he doesn't. He then alerts them and they all run out of Area B but Noah is frozen in fear. Team Anubias just stays there with Noah.

While Noah is frozen in fear, Mag Mel and Razenoid gain more energy to be free. Mag Mel then says, "That's right little boy, tremble with fear because fear feeds me as well as Chaos Energy."

While on [[New Vestroia]], Dan and [[Drago]] feel a power surge and that it's Bakugan Interspace calling for help so they decide to go back to Bakugan Interspace to help out their friends despite the risks.

Just as things looked very bad, a streak of lightning and a Dimension Portal appears out of nowhere. While the lightning appears Rafe and Paige had no idea what it was, Shun thought it was more Chaos Bakugan and Marucho thought that it helped. Marucho is right and someone appears in the Dimension Portal. It happens to be an old friend of the brawlers from Vestal and it is none other than [[Spectra Phantom]]. [[Paige]] and Rafe wonder who he was, while Marucho reveals that he sent an SOS message to all of the Brawlers' allies which Spectra was the first one to receive.

Spectra then says that the Chaos Bakugan is a disgusting sight and then he says "Let's clean house" by Spectra sending out his new Guardian Bakugan called [[Darkus]] [[Infinity Helios]]. Also, the Brawlers' were surprised that Helios had an attribute change. Spectra explains that Helios' next evolution required an attribute change. Then, Spectra and Helios decimate a massive amount of Chaos Bakugan but however, he gets hit by some Subterra Iron Dragonoid's. In the smoke, Helios took no damage from the attack because Spectra activated Infinity Helios's new FARBAS Ability, and after that Helios beats all of them. Shun and Marucho are impressed, Rafe and Pagie are amazed, Ben, Jack, Robin, and Noah are shocked (the last even stating that Helios is "awesome"). Sellon is shown to be fascinated by Helios's power but not to the point of desire. However, Anubias is angry. Then with a snap of his finger, Horridian, Bolcanon, and Krakenoid jump out from Team Anubias who are in shock and start attacking Infinity Helios. The Brawlers successfully take them down with their brand new [[BakuNano|BakuNano's]] that Rafe gave them but [[Team Sellon]]'s Bakugan come out of nowhere, alongside another bunch of Chaos Bakugan. Then Anubias senses Dan's arrival as he and Drago, arrive back to assist Spectra and the rest of the Brawlers as the chaos continues.

His mechanical eye is now more advanced now, as it resembles a multi-celled lens instead of a camera lens. He also can combine with [[Fencer]], [[Scraper]], [[Spindle]], [[Foxbat]], [[Leefram]], and [[Klawgor]] to form [[Maxus Helios MK2]]. He was later upgraded with fewer spikes and has human hands instead of claw hands. He can now be equipped with [[Twin Destructor]] and [[Zukanator]]. He hated Drago, but after losing his last battle to him he admits Drago is the Ultimate Bakugan.

Helios MK2's ball form first appears in the anime in its original version. Its arms, with three-fingered claws, are placed on the back. The Battle Gear-compatible version of Helios MK2's toy is simply a slightly modified version of the original, whereas after he gains the ability to use Battle Gear in the anime, his ball form completely changes, giving him side wings that open from the outside instead of the inside, opening arms, and different designs on the wings.

Helios MK2's ball form is later changed in the anime. Its wings fold down to allow [[Twin Destructor]] and [[Zukanator]] to attach to him. Its arms are placed at the side of the main body instead of on the back, with human-like hands instead of claw-shaped hands in the original version. In ''[[All Or Nothing]]'', it appeared briefly alongside the other mechanical Bakugan at the airport.

Later in ''[[Avenging Spectra]]'', King Zenoheld used Farbros to battle [[Gus Grav]] at the [[Vexos Motherpalace]]. With the Assail formation, Farbros effortlessly annihilated [[Blast Elico]] and [[Hexados]] and won against Gus and Vulcan.

In ''[[BT: The Final Battle]]'', King Zenoheld used Farbros again to battle [[Cross Dragonoid]] and [[Helios MK2]]. Despite its advantage from Clay's Trap Field, Farbros was overwhelmed by [[Twin Destructor]] and Zenoheld was forced to maximize the Trap Field's output, putting a severe strain on Farbros. Helios no longer has a spinning ring in his chest, it was replaced by a hidden chest laser that can be activated by the ability '''Ragnarök Cannon'''. His mechanical eye is now more advanced now, as it resembles a multi-celled lens instead of a camera lens. He also can combine with [[Fencer]], [[Scraper]], [[Spindle]], [[Foxbat]], [[Leefram]], and [[Klawgor]] to form [[Maxus Helios MK2]]. He was later upgraded with fewer spikes and has human hands instead of claw hands. He can now be equipped with [[Twin Destructor]] and [[Zukanator]]. He hated Drago, but after losing his last battle to him he admits Drago is the Ultimate Bakugan.

Helios MK2's ball form first appears in the anime in its original version. Its arms, with three-fingered claws, are placed on the back. The Battle Gear-compatible version of Helios MK2's toy is simply a slightly modified version of the original, whereas after he gains the ability to use Battle Gear in the anime, his ball form completely changes, giving him side wings that open from the outside instead of the inside, opening arms, and different designs on the wings.

Helios MK2's ball form is later changed in the anime. Its wings fold down to allow [[Twin Destructor]] and [[Zukanator]] to attach to him. Its arms are placed at the side of the main body instead of on the back, with human-like hands instead of claw-shaped hands in the original version. The structure of the wings and some details are also changed compared with the original version. Whenever he stands after being rolled a ring of fire and magma appears around him.

Helios MK2 is exclusive to Japan. It was first released in Japan on October 8, 2010, in Pyrus in Entry Value Pack. It was later released in [[Pyrus]] (black as main color), [[Aquos]], [[Ventus]], and [[Darkus]] in Japanese [[Starter Pack]]: Evolution Kit 2 (BBT-07). These versions are all non-Battle Gear Compatible. Its [[G-Power]] in Pyrus in the BBT-04 Entry Value Pack, which has silver as its main color, is 540 Gs. The Darkus from the BBT-07 Special Evolution Pack C has 520 G.

As of January 8, 2011, a Battle Gear Compatible Version of Helios MK2 was released with the catalog number of CS-001. Its G-Powers are 520, 540, or 560 Helios MK2 (Battle Gear Compatible-anime version upgraded) is exclusive to Japan. The Battle Gear Compatible Version was reissued as a rare find in the BCV-1.5 [[Bakugan Expansion Pack|booster packs]].

*Unlike other mechanical Bakugan, Helios MK2 has only one weakness: FARBAS EM will not work against very powerful abilities like [[Helix Dragonoid]]'s ability '''Galactic Dragon'''. Helios will automatically lose the battle because of his safety protocols. To counteract this, Helios removed his safety circuits in the second round of his final battle against Drago, so it is highly unlikely he still had that weakness.<ref name="ep44" />
* Darkus Helios MK2 is in ''[[Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders]]''<nowiki>'</nowiki> Darkus color scheme that is black, green, and yellow.
* Helios MK2 is the first non-''Gundalian Invaders'' Bakugan that can connect with Bakugan Battle Gear and the only one who does not appear in the aforementioned season.
* He is the only Bakugan to change ball form, even slightly, without going through an evolution.
** This excludes BakuMutants, whose ball forms temporarily change when they mutate.
* He has double-jointed legs like [[Contestir]], [[Titanium Dragonoid]], [[Aranaut]], and [[Cross Dragonoid]].
* The molds for regular and Battle Gear compatible versions of Helios MK2 are basically identical. However, the Battle Gear version is missing the springs that keep its wings from instantly falling down. This can easily be seen by looking at the back of the closed marbles.
