The '''Evo Tournament''' is a tournament organized by [[Katie Lowery]] and her father Dr. [[Noah Lowery]]. The event was invitation only, though invitations were not tied to an individual person and could be won or lost through personal bets. While on the outside it appeared as a respectable tournament, it was actually designed by Doctor Lowery to secretly siphon Bakugans' power into a specialized evolution machine by means of G-Power antes, in order to evolve the Bakugan he created for her after her original Bakugan, [[Chamelia]], was sent to the [[Doom Dimension]] by [[Masquerade]]. However, after seeing Katie suffer bullying from other brawlers, Mecha Chamelia increased the effects of the machine, causing Katie's father to lose his memories and become complacent.

The main structure of tournament features four themed preliminary tournaments, Forest, Cruise, and two unknown themes, and then the Master Evo Tournament, where the winners from each of the four preliminary rounds face off, and then the two winners from these brawls face each other in the finale. These brawls feature a unique mechanic, an ante of [[G-Power]] where each contestant bets a low number of Gs, one G for every round except for the finale, which bets three Gs. This ante works to steal power away from Bakugan, but also comes with the side effect of removing memories about Bakugan's sentience from humans as well as the sentience from Bakugan themselves, turning them into essentially toy figures.
