Maxotaur appears as [[China Riot]]'s partner Bakugan. During her brawl with [[Lia Venegas]], and eventually the rest of the [[Awesome Ones]], China uses Maxotaur and the surprise platforms on the field to catch her opponents off guard and limit their accessibility to [[BakuCore (Battle Planet)|BakuCores]]. With the help of her platforms, China and Maxotaur handily defeat Lia, and because of a contract signed by Lia, she has to give Gorthion to China.
