He is the direct descendant of the Original Dharaknoid, one of two original Bakugan. His Battle Gear is AirKor.
In the anime, he makes his first cameo in the finale of Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia in the video Clay Fermin receives of the Neathian-Gundalian War. In Bakugan: Gundalian Invaders, he serves as the Guardian Bakugan of Barodius, the cruel emperor of Gundalia, and was complicit with his master's behavior. After losing to Dan Kuso and Drago at the end of the season, he and Barodius attempt to claim the Sacred Orb's power for themselves anyways, causing them to be imprisoned in a separate dimension. The two return in the next season, mutated into Razenoid and Mag Mel, respectively.

Trivia
* His voice in ball form is different from his voice in Bakugan form.* As Dharak Colossus, he seems to have the same abilities, but with greater strength.* When he merges with AirKor as Dharak Colossus, the middle part of AirKor is left out.* It seems that his Darkus toy in Evil Twin Pack and regular version have inverted detail colors. These color errors might be manufacture errors.* He is one of the few Bakugan to have four legs that open in ball form, along with Hynoid, Terrorclaw, Mantris, Kilan Leoness, Brawlacus Dharak, and Damakor.* Of all the Gundalian Invaders Bakugan, Dharak has been released in the most alternately colored forms (BakuGranite, BakuBlue, Crimson & Pearl, and Evil Twin).* He, and by extension, his evolution Phantom Dharak, are the only Bakugan belonging to the Twelve Orders whose G-Power was not shown.
Etymology
"Dharak" is derived from the Japanese word for corruption/depravity, 堕落 (daraku), in reference to Dharak's corrupted, power-hungry personality.
