Similar to the three Gate CardsCards, an Ability Card may have G-Power boosts and particular instruction that all Brawlers have to obey. Ability Cards are quite forceful and when used properly can have an excellent effect on your opponents. Requirements to play an Ability Card are in a bold format.
Ability Cards (Series 2 rules) come in three different colors:* Green: Powerful Ability Cards that include the attributeAttribute-named cards (Gr).* Blue: Basic Ability Cards with G-Power increases but have less conditions than Red or Green cards (Bl).* Red: Situational abilities (Re).
Ability Cards are played from the hand at certain times to affect the outcome of the match. The common categories of use are before rolling (b/r), after rolling (a/r), start of a battle (s/b), during battle (d/b), win battle (w/b), lose battle (l/b) or after one of your opponent's actions (a/o). Further restrictions may apply, e.g. "Play before you roll a Pyrus Bakugan."
Ability Cards may be common or rare and there are special cards only available in the Arena product.

Blue Ability Cards
Blue Ability Cards are a type of Ability Card, and you can only have one of it in the game. Blue Ability Cards are usually designed to give a Bakugan a boost in G-Power. While most Blue Ability Cards have G-Power Bonuses right on the left on the card, sometimes this is not the case, usually when the amount of G-Power to receive is dependent on something else. While it is true that some Blue Abilities have higher boosts, this means that that card will most probably have an extra ability, so sometimes, it can be good to just play it safe.

==BakuBinder Special =Red Ability Cards===Special Red Ability Cards that come with the purchase are a type of the Cardand just like the other ones, you can only have one red card in the Game.Red Cards are Ability Cards that most often trigger when you roll your FileBakugan and many of the cards affect the roll as well like placing a Bakugan on the field or allowed shifting to another Gate Card if you land on the wrong one. Red abilities also have very powerful cards but often a certain condition has to be met on your roll and if you miss roll, you may have just wasted an Ability Card so if you are a beginner, try using some Red Ability Cards that don't require something specific. ====Gallery====<gallery widths="120">Circle of Fire Red Card.PNG|Red Ability Card design for Bakugan Battle BrawlersBA376 AB 29 GBL.png|Red Ability Card design for Bakugan:Book Of Power 1New Vestroia29a Helix Dragonoid-762x1024.jpg|100pxRed Ability Card design for Bakugan: Gundalian InvadersPredictable Damp (NA).png|Red Ability Card design for Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge</gallery> ===Green Ability Cards===Green Ability Cards are a type of Ability Cards and just like Red Ability Cardsand Blue Ability Cards, you can only have one. Green Cards are basically wild cards and are often considered to have the most powerful effects in the game. While these effects are powerful, there are several that require you to be on a losing streak so while Green Ability Cards are powerful, the brawler must be clever while using them. ====Gallery====<gallery captionalign="left">BA243_AB_SM_ventus2.png|Green Ability Card design for Bakugan Battle Brawlers45q_Double_Switch.jpg|Green Ability Card design for Bakugan: New VestroiaMagnetic Copper (NA).png|Green Ability Card design for Bakugan: Gundalian InvadersHammer Relic (NA).png|Green Ability Card design for Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge</gallery>
