*Due to the events from the previous series being switched around, this arc starts the Tavanel Cup.
*In the volume releases, the "Gachi" subtitle is not present but in the Coro Coro publication, it is.
*Harubaru and Raichi don their new outfits in the anime long after the Tavanel Cup; in the manga, they wore their new outfits from the start of the Tavanel Cup.
*Harubaru doesn't fight Tohga in the manga.
*Nivil doesn't fight Sho or Koh in the manga.
*Nivil and Raichi's battle was shorter in the manga.
*In the manga, Raichi never says goodbye to Harubaru. He just walks out of the Tavanel Cup without saying anything.
*Raichi never shows up to help Harubaru test Jigen Dragaon in the manga.
