Unlike previous seasons, ''Bakugan: Geogan Rising'' only has two major card sets. Both While both sets were initially planned to see wide release, due to the silent cancellation of the Trading Card Game, only small amounts of these the card sets have only been made were produced and distributed, being limited to cards available in conjunction with toy packs, following releases. A Japanese release of the show was confirmed on April 2 by the official Japanese Bakugan Twitter.
Both director and head writer of prior reboot seasons have been replaced. Another change made is amount of episodes which has been cut in half. new director is Hideki Okamoto and new head writer is Isao Murayama.
