Bakuzon at the Gates, Part 1 is the ninety-seventh episode of Bakugan Battle Planet. It aired in the United States on Cartoon Network on January 12, 2020 alongside Bakuzon at the Gates, Part 2. It was released early On Demand for major cable providers on November 15, 2019.

Plot

The countdown is coming to a close as the Dusk Forces are coming closer to the Great Core Cell, but Shun and Lia have arrived along with The Exit to help. The battle has begun, and Lia uses her drone to broadcast the event so everyone can see what is going on.

It's a big brawl, and the heroes protecting the Great Core Cell are outnumbered by the large amount of Bakuzon who are starting to break into the temple. Hydranoid uses a portal from the Maze to enter the temple, striking Goreene from the back. Benton/Tiko uses his dark power to unleash an attack to knock Goreene back, allowing him to touch the Great Core Cell.
