Dragonoid was part of first wave of Bakugan products both in Sega Toys and Spin Master releases. Sega Toys released Dragonoid as part of ver.1.0 wave on July 22, 2007, in all 5 existing at the moment Attributes. Spin Master released Dragonoid as part of Series 1.
Later on, both Sega Toys and Spin Master released 32mm version of Dragonoid. During Mechtanium Surge, Spin Master retooled Dragonoid to feature BakuNano pegs as part of BakuEvolutions series.

*Dragonoid was described as a 'brutal dragon' in the Japanese patent of Bakugan.
*Pyrus Dragonoid was the first Bakugan to evolve in the Anime.
* Dragonoid is one of only a handful of Bakugan from the original series whose name was then reused for reboot bakuganGeneration 2 Bakugan, the others being Hydranoid, Garganoid, Cycloid, and Centipoid (whose name was changed to Centipod).
* He and Alpha Hydranoid are the only Season 1 Bakugan in Bakugan Dimensions.
* In the Japanese version of the Masquerade Ball, Dragonoid's final attack against Reaper is called Boosted Ultima, hinting its evolution as Ultimate Dragonoid, which also has this ability. The name is changed in the English dub, thus removing the foreshadowing.
