Etymology

The Kanji in the Japanese name of Sanzu Hollowbos, 滅 (On: metsu/ Kun: horobosu), means to destroy. "Sanzu" is derived from Sanzu River, a river that is believed to be crossed by the dead in Japanese Buddhism, and the Japanese for three heads, 三頭 (sanzu). "Hollowbos" is derived from the Japanese for to destroy, 滅ぼす (horobosu).
