On October 13, 2021, Nelvana formally announced the fourth season in a press release. It specified that the show will have twenty-six twenty-two minute long episodes, and will premier in early 2022.

''Bakugan: Evolutions'' introduces new molds as well as featuring some returning ones. It also introduces two new [[Variant]]s: [[Platinum]] and [[Mythic]] Bakugan, and a new [[Faction]] type: [[Prisma]]. In addition, it introduces a new gameplay element called [[Nanogan]], which are smaller than B1 Bakugan from the Legacy series. Its role in the game is currently unknown.
