Platinum Bakugan are all Core, either new ones introduced in the season, or older types from [[Bakugan: Geogan Rising]]. Geogan Rising bakugan Bakugan also have extra painting applied in places that were originally unpainted. Some [[Factions]] of Platinum Bakugan use new color schemes: Black/Purple for [[Darkus]], Red/Yellow for [[Pyrus]], Light Blue/Blue for [[Aquos]] (flipped normal colors), Dark Green/Lime with Dark Red highlights for [[Ventus]]. Haos and Aurelus come unchanged.
