In spite of the Battle Brawlers' efforts, the [[Bakugan Termination System]] was activated, so Helios MK2 and Drago attempt to destroy it in [[New Vestroia]]. When neither of their attacks worked, Drago flew to the atmosphere with the BT System. The BT System was destroyed and Drago absorbed all the attribute energies, evolving into [[Helix Dragonoid]]. After the destruction of the BT System, Helios and Spectra left the Brawlers on [[New Vestroia]].<ref>"[[Exodus]]"</ref>

With the Vexos out the way, Helios confronted Drago for one last battle.<ref name="ep44">"[[Spectra's Last Stand]]"</ref> Once again, Helios lost, and in his broken state, he accepted Drago as the ultimate Bakugan, abandoning his evil ways and permanently siding with the [[Bakugan Battle Brawlers Resistance]]. Later on, he and Spectra—, now going by his original name, Keith Fermin—, help Drago make his own Battle Gear: [[JetKor]].
When [[Mylene Farrow]] and [[Shadow Prove]] track down the Resistance to their hiding spot, Spectra and Helios easily destroyed Shadow's [[MAC Spider]] by using the FARBAS RX Fusion Ability.<ref>"[[Mylene's Meltdown]]"</ref> Since joining the Resistance, he has grown much calmer and has lost some of his callousness, as he helps Magma Wilda defeat Mylene's [[Macubass]] and saves [[Mira Fermin]] from getting blasted by Macubass. However, he still remains serious and battle-focused, as he quickly tires of Runo and Julie's girlish antics. He later battles Zenoheld and his remade [[Farbros]] a second time. During the battle, he was able to damage Farbros, and, together with [[Rex Vulcan]], held his ground against [[Assail Farbros]], thus making him the second Bakugan (after Dryoid) to win against Farbros.<ref>"[[Ultimate Weapon]]"</ref>
