A young Shun talks with his father, who wants him to be strong as a samurai. Unfortunately, these moments don't happen anymore since Shun [[Ronin Son|lost his family name for betraying his father]]. Benton calls the Awesome Ones again, giving them a new mission to find another Core Cell in Japan, Shun's home.
The Awesome Ones arrive to a man-made island, which was made by Kazami International Holdings, it appears that Shun's father found the Core Cell. Vehicles suddenly surround Dan and the others, and Masato appears again, warning them to leave the island at once. Masato attempts to remove them by force by using his [[Serpenteze]], so Shun sends out [[Hydorous (Battle Planet)|Hydorous]] to fight his cousin once again. Hydorous and Serpenteze clash while Dan and the others flee to look for the Core Cell, Masato tells Shun that he's grown tired of winning every time they meet, so he is going to end things here. Wynton's Core Cell device leads them to a jewel-like Core Cell.
Serpenteze has an upper hand against Hydorous, so Shun attempts to look for a BakuCore, but it turns out there are no good BakuCores because the island is normal. Masato is about to finish Shun's Hydorous off before he is interrupted by Ichiro Kazami. Ichiro tells Masato not to waste time, and to focus on their "project", he turns to Dan and the others and wants to speak with them privately. Meanwhile, Magnus arrives at the island in order to claim the Core Cell.
