A Bakugan Movie is a project that has been teased throughout the history of the franchise, though no results have ever been produced.

History[edit]

In December 2010, an announcement was made that a live-action Bakugan film was in the works as a joint project between Universal Pictures and Spin Master Ltd. The director was announced as Harald Zwert, with Scott Stuber and Spin Master's Ronnen Harary as producers.[1][2][3] No further information or news was given about the movie.

In Spin Master's Q4 2017 financial results conference call, while discussing the 2019 Bakugan franchise reboot, Harary stated that the company is "also working on ... potentially trying to get a movie out in the next few years."[4]

During an interview in 2022, Jason Deline stated that during the final years of the Generation 1 series, Spin Master considered making a live action movie of the franchise featuring a CGI model of Drago.[5]

On February 6th, 2025, Deadline published an article claiming Spin Master and director Brad Peyton were collaborating on a live action Bakugan movie.[6] Spin Master released a confirmation the following day.[7]
