Etymology

Image showing Tri Falco's cross-shaped body which is the etymology of 'Cross Mode'

The kanji in the Japanese name of Tri Falco, (On: yoku/Kun: tsubasa), means wing, which refers to its mode change by altering its wings' positions. 'Tri' is derived from the prefix for three, tri-, which refers to its ability to vary into three modes.

'Little Mode' refers to its small occupying area, while 'Cross Mode' refers to its cross-shaped body when viewed from the top.[1]

Trivia

  • The tentative name for this BakuTech was Falcon Type (ファルコンタイプ, Farukon Taipu?).[2]
  • Tri Falco is the first Bakugan to have three different forms that it can open into within the same ball.
  • The red variant of Tri Falco appeared in the 27th episode of season 2.
    • This variant is equipped with the Gold version of the Tavanel Wind and Aqua Metal Soles rather than with the original Tri Metal Soles.
