Bakugan: Geogan Rising
Bakugan: Geogan Rising (爆丸ジオガンライジング, Bakugan Jiogan Raijingu?) is the name of the third season of the second generation of Bakugan, preceded by Bakugan: Armored Alliance. This season introduces Geogan, a new gameplay element.

History
Pre-release
The existence of a third season was first officially hinted to on October 2nd, 2020, as emails began to be sent out to BakuMasters about the third annual Bakugan Sneak Peek which occurred on November 14-15th. [1]
Because of concerns due to the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the Bakugan Sneak Peek was held virtually. In addition, the usual in-person TCG tournament was changed to online matches in Bakugan: Champions of Vestroia.
Bakugan Metaverse

The Bakugan Metaverse is an official Bakugan-themed Roblox experience that was released on September 6, 2021. This format was used to premiere an episode of Geogan Rising on September 8, 2021.

Bakugan: Geogan Rising introduces a new gameplay element, Geogan. These figures deviate from the standard spherical ball form, similar to Bakugan Traps from the Legacy series. These figures serve as single-turn Bakugan substitutes.

Additionally, Cyndeous Ultra, a mold from a previous season, was released during this season. Cubbo also saw a large rerelease with new "costumed" variants.
Trading Card Game
Unlike previous seasons, Bakugan: Geogan Rising only has two major card sets. While both sets were initially planned to see wide release, due to the silent cancellation of the Trading Card Game, only small amounts of the card sets were produced and distributed, being limited to cards available in toy releases. Only Secrets of the Geogan saw Starter Sets and Promo Cards released for it.

In addition, a minor card set, CP, was also released, containing character cards associated with the Costume Cubbo line.
This season introduces a new mechanic for the Trading Card Game - Geogan Cards, which replace the active Bakugan for the turn and act as a re-roll card.

With the release of the new Geogan, Geogan Rising introduces several new products. Many of these products continue the trends from previous seasons such as the Starter Sets and Single Packs, however with the addition of Geogan more products have been created to sell the new toy piece.
This season introduced two capstone products: GeoForge Dragonoid and Ultimate Viloch. Unlike previous seasons, Geogan Rising contains a product for the villain, as well as having the capstone's respective cards be included in the base GG card set, as opposed to their own exclusive set.

The Bakugan show will continue for a third season with a total of 26x22min (52x11min) episodes; and it began airing on January 24th 2021 on Teletoon Canada. The show also became available Netflix on April 15, 2021.
A Japanese release of the show was confirmed on April 2 by the official Japanese Bakugan Twitter.
Both director and head writer of prior reboot seasons have been replaced. Another change made is amount of episodes which has been cut in half. new director is Hideki Okamoto and new head writer is Isao Murayama.
Summary
In Bakugan: Geogan Rising, The Awesome Brawlers band together discovering where Bakugan come from and fight to save what they love most, their Bakugan! Viloch, a powerful Golden Bakugan is desperate to break the bond that the two planet's share: Earth and the Bakugan home planet of Vestroia. Without this bond, brawling no longer exists! It's up to the Awesome Brawlers to face off against Viloch, battle to save Earth, Vestroia and their beloved Bakugan.[2]
