Vestroia, Part 1

Vestroia, Part 1 is the seventy-third episode of Bakugan Battle Planet. It aired on October 20, 2019 in the United States on Cartoon Network alongside Vestroia, Part 2. It was released early on the Cartoon Network App on September 6th, 2019.

Plot

Dan pursues the controlled Magnus, who is trying to absorb the Core Cell's energy. Luckily, Benton Dusk hacked the system to allow the Core Cell to be locked up underground so Magnus won't be able to make contact with it. Magnus tells Dan that he got in his way, he will capture all Core Cells and spread the V Virus so Tiko can rule Vestroia.

Dan and the others remark about how Magnus keeps talking about "Vestroia", and Drago then remembers that Vestroia is the home planet of the Bakugan. Benton then says that Magnus said Vestroia is becoming one with Earth, 12 years ago the Great Collision happened, so the reason for the kids born after because Vestroia must have somehow fused with Earth. Magnus then interrupts the conversation and says he will stop anyone who interrupts Tiko's plan. Pyravian suddenly appears to confront Magnus and Nillious, Pyravian's Pyravian Laser attack begins to be absorbed by Nillious' Shadow Drain but the power is too much; causing Nillious to revert back to his base form. Magnus gets angry and uses his power to create a portal to escape, but Col. Tripp launches a tracker so his whereabouts can be tracked.

Magnus has returned back to the infected Core Cell from earlier. Benton warns that as long as the infected Core Cell exists, the virus could be spread, he believes the Core Cell should be destroyed. It is a shocking choice to make, Magnus is inside the Core Cell and could get hurt, but Dan wants to protect the Core Cell and protect Magnus too - they have to save the world. Pyravian says the Core Cell Trhyno protected has been so corrupted that even a golden Bakugan cannot heal it, but perhaps having a Bakugan battle inside the Core Cell could cure the virus. In the past, the Awesome Ones had a Bakugan battle inside of the Drome and cured the Bakugan that were sick. This is an all or nothing risk for the Brawlers since Nillious and the Core Cell are infected, if they were to lose then all brawlers and Bakugan could be lost to the virus. Dan insists he must go despite Benton trying to protect the kids, and Shun opens a portal with the Mobile Gate to confront Magnus.

The entire area with the Core Cell from earlier has become more corrupted, all the Brawlers use their Bakugan to get to the Core Cell while dodging the electric attacks from the Core Cell. Dan and Drago are strangely not affected by this, and it is revealed that Dan got infected after Magnus pushed him while he was absorbing the Core Cell energy. Dan and Hyper Dragonoid head towards the infected Core Cell to defeat Magnus and save him from Tiko and cure the Core Cell.
