Griffon (グリフォン, Gurifon?) is a chimera-like Bakugan. He has a lion's fore-body and a snake as a tail. Its hind legs are like a goat's and are scaled. It has a pair of huge bat-like wings.

Information

Description

Griffon possesses a deafening roar to stun its opponents. Its hands have sharp claws that never dull. It has powerful wings that give it the ability to fly high in the air. It has a serpent tail that possesses a venomous bite.

Bakugan Official Handbook

The Griffon looks like it was made from three different creatures. It has the body of a lion, wings of an eagle, and the tail of a reptile.

Bakugan: Ultimate Handbook

Griffon looks like a mythical monster that's a combination of several animals. It's got the fierce head and claws of a lion, the powerful wings of an eagle, a tail that's a poisonous serpent, and the hard-kicking legs of a goat. Before Griffon lashes out with its claw of tail, it can emit a deafening roar that will stun its opponents.

Anime

Bakugan Battle Brawlers

Dan had many Pyrus Griffons, and Tatsuya owned a Pyrus Griffon as well. Runo had some Haos Griffons and Klaus had two Aquos Griffons.

Dan's and Runo's Griffons have been sent to the Doom Dimension by many of Masquerade's minions.

The first Aquos Griffon Klaus used was sent to the Doom Dimension when his Mind Ghost trick backfired. The second one was defeated by the newly evolved Dual Hydranoid.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers (Video Game)

It is available in all attributes. Dan had a Pyrus Griffon, Marucho and Klaus have Aquos Griffons, Runo and Julio have Haos Griffon, Shun, Shuji and Komba have Ventus Griffons, Julie, Billy, Akira and Jewls have Subterra Griffons, and the player can buy a Darkus Griffon.

Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Battle Trainer

Dan starts out with a Pyrus Griffon, which he uses against Aurock. It will be necessary to use Griffon up until after beating Arena 3; after that, with Ultimate Dragonoid in your roster, you may choose to remove Griffon from your team.

Trivia

  • Griffon is based on the Chimera from Latin and Greek mythology, not the Griffin, as the actual griffin has a lion's back legs and tail, and the body and the wings, front legs and head of an eagle.
