On October 13, 2021, Nelvana formally announced the fourth season in a press release. It specified that the show would consist of 52 60 eleven -minute -long episodes, or 26 30 twenty-two -minute -long episodes, and would premiere on February 6, 2022.

''Bakugan: Evolutions'' introduces new molds as well as featuring some returning ones. It also introduces two new [[Variant]]s: [[Platinum]] and [[Mythic]] Bakugan, and a new [[Faction]] type: [[All-Faction]]. In addition, it introduces a new gameplay element called [[Nanogan]], which its size resembles the 28mm Bakugan from the Legacy series. They only can be used if one of your Bakugan shares its Faction and once per game. They also provides provide special effects according to your team cores when using them.

The ''Bakugan: Evolutions'' anime premiered at 12 PM ET on February 6th, 2022, on the Canadian network Teletoon. The fifth and sixth, ''[[Bakugan Academy!]]'' and ''[[Roommates]]'', were released before the first and second four-part ''Evolutions Unleashed!'' episodes, which was released in Japan as a special episode along with episodes 9 & and 10.
