* His shoulders resemble Lythirus's hands as well as Smashtor.
* His Ability '''Barrow Laia''' seems to have similar effects to Drago’s '''Hammer''' abilities, being able to increase speed. This only occurs in ''Destiny Revealed'' however, as in the previous episode, it used a similar animation when a Gundalian teleports.
* Some Battle Gear can't attach to Phantom Dharak because the button that reveals the wings, extra Gs, and shoulder heads stands in the way. Some of these Battle Gear include Riptor and Smashtor. This is somewhat ironic, considering Dharak can use Riptor and Smashtor as well as the two Battle Gear being parts of [[Dharak Colossus]].
* In the anime, his shoulder claws open with the rest of his ball, unlike other Bakugan like Phosphos and [[Avior]] who need an ability to open the extra parts.
