The Kanji in the Japanese name of Ogre Leoness, {{nihongo2|[[wikt:皇|皇]]}} ([[wikt:呉音|Goon]]: ''ō''/ [[wikt:漢音|Kan'on]]: ''kō''/ [[wikt:kun'yomi|Kun]]: ''kimi, sumeragi''), means emperor, whose Kan'on is as same as [[Koh Grif|its owner]]'s first name. "Ogre" may be derived from the Japanese for imperial fang, 王牙 (''ouga''), and the Goon of the Bakugan's Kanji.
