After losing to Helios, Drago was converted into Vexos Dragonoid corrupted due to use of the [[Chaos Ability X]] card, gaining similar coloring to Helios himself. While being in this state, Drago lose lost his free will and was in full control of Spectra.
After Helios being defeated by Apollonir, Spectra decided to use Neo Dragonoid, willing to see capabilities of the Perfect Core.<ref>''[[Dude, Where's My Bakugan?]]''</ref>
During the battle with Apollonir, Spectra made Drago use multiple Forbidden Abilities, which called upon the attribute power of the Perfect Core, which could've destroyed Drago's new weak body. Later in episode he is defeated by [[Apollonir]] via Dragon Proudia, absorbing extra energy from Drago and reverting effects of the Chaos Ability X, bringing his original colors back, and Drago returns returned to Dan.<ref>''[[Gone, Gone Bakugan]]''</ref>
He battles [[Hades]] and [[Elico]] alongside Mega Nemus and wins due to a new [[Perfect Core]] Ability that he used called "Dragon Contender". When he uses that ability it destroyed the [[Beta City]] controller.<ref>''[[Beta City Blues]]''</ref>
He battled some Mechanical [[Bakugan Trap]]s alongside Percival and won against all of them. He also destroied destroyed the Gamma City controller.<ref>''[[Underground Take Down]]''</ref>
He saved Dan from falling when they reverted to ball form due to [[Prince Hydron]]'s Dimension Controller. Later, Drago faced [[Cyborg Helios]] in the first and second round. He lost in the first round and in the second round he won. In the third round, he battled [[Maxus Helios]] and lost. In the last round, Dan and Drago had no choice but to use the [[Mechanical Bakugan]] as well. He then combined with them to form [[Maxus Dragonoid]] and the battle couldn't be decided yet.<ref>''[[Ultimate Bakugan]]''</ref>
