A few months prior to the [[Bakugan Battle League (Generation 2)|Bakugan Battle League]], Kirin Kurin encountered [[Chad]] and [[Chester]] performing as [[Needles]] in park. Entranced by their music, he joined the group on drums.

Kirin Kurin then entered the Bakugan Battle League under the masked alias "The Revenger", and the trio conspired to utilize outside intelligence during Kurin' s brawl with Dan Kouzo.
