Hello Ironhide453,

Welcome to the Bakugan Wiki! I'm Abce2, one of the administrators here.

Some things to keep in mind as you browse the wiki.

  1. Please use proper American English grammar on all articles.
  2. Articles are only for official Bakugan information. Fan-made images or information will be removed if placed on articles.
  3. Remember to cite your sources. If you're adding something such as an unadded Bakugan variation or information to a character page, be sure to show where you got it from.

See our Policies and Manual of Style for more information.

Notice[edit]

Please don't add Bakugan from previous years that only appear in the anime to the checklist of returning Bakugan toys. Those have their own list.

Reply[edit]

I guess maintenance solved the recent problem. Speaking of editing, I've been curious to take it to the next level. For example, someone recently posted 2 images of Pharols Strength and Speed Mode, something like this, File:BEV-Pharol Strength Mode anime.png|250px. How can I do something similar like this to any Bakugan old and new?

I'm sorry, I don't understand. What exactly are you asking? Are you talking about uploading images in general? Abce2|Talk Contributions 03:45, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

I wish to know how I can upload images in any way possible for any Bakugan and character at least.

Hello,
First off, I want to ask that you stop deleting every message sent on this page. It makes it difficult to follow and hold a conversation that way.
Secondly, to upload a file, you use Special:Upload. Make sure the image follows the Wiki's guidelines before you upload it, or it may be deleted.
Thanks, Abce2|Talk Contributions 20:41, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

Ok, I got the "uploading file images" thing down, but I also wish to learn how I can add them to different pages, like an episode list, a Bakugan page (maybe Nanogan), and/or a character page? If I'm not being specific enough, I understand. A step-by-step process would be most helpful please. Thank you.

Hello, here is a guide from MediaWiki that should contain information to help answer a lot of your questions. It's a good starting point, but if you have any specific questions feel free to ask me. Abce2|Talk Contributions 21:07, 24 August 2022 (UTC)

Something is preventing me from creating new pages, thinking that my acts are harmful, which they're not. How can this issue be resolved completely?

Right now we have a spam filter preventing non-admins from creating pages. Without this filter, we would be overrun by spam. One of my upcoming goals is to figure out a solution that allows legitimate, autoconfirmed users the ability to create pages without opening the site up to spam issues. Abce2|Talk Contributions 03:07, 21 March 2023 (UTC)

Any updates on trying to fix the issue that is not allowing me to create new pages? It's been a month now and I can really use an update.

Hello, unfortunately creating pages is still locked to basic users as we still are working on a solution to the spam bots.

In light of this, I can create the pages you are trying to make since I'm an admin, tell me what you article you are trying to make. Also, for future reference if you need your inquiry answered sooner, you can leave a message on The Bakugan Wiki Discord. I believe I saw your username on there, but you only posted once.

Regarding image usage rights[edit]

Hello,

I noticed that the image you uploaded, Media:Pegatrix Nano-Gear.PNG, is identical to one that was uploaded to the Fandom Wiki a while back. I wanted to let you know that these images must be ones that you create yourself, or have permission to use. We cannot take other images from sites (aside from things like official Spin Master promotional material) without explicit permission.

Thank you, Abce2|Talk Contributions 23:48, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

I am so sorry; I didn't even notice. But I still want to add them to their proper pages. How can I do that?

First, I'm going to have to ask you to overwrite the existing images you've taken from other sites with one of your own. You can easily crop them from a YouTube video or something similar. You can overwrite a file by scrolling down to the "File History" section and then clicking "Upload a new version of this file". After this is done, I will help you with applying files to pages.
Abce2|Talk Contributions 23:53, 25 August 2022 (UTC)

I may need help finding the File History section.

Scroll down on any file, and you'll be able to see the File History section. I've uploaded a example here. Abce2|Talk Contributions 03:01, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Got it, now how to I apply files like this to any page. I'm ready to be walked through it.

Please overwrite the files you have taken from other websites with your own version. We are unable to use the images in their current state. As long as they are the version we don't have permission to use, we can not use them. Abce2|Talk Contributions 03:30, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

How can I replace an image with another one? For example, replacing a Bakugan's image with a different one under the same file format.

If you want to replace an image, you can do so on the file page, such as https://bakugan.wiki/wiki/File:BA1387_Slink.jpg

You can click "Upload a new version of this file". You may get a warning, so you can just click Ignore any warnings checkbox.

One thing to note is the Wiki needs to update the cache so the thumbnail of the image will take some time to update, and you may not be able to rename the file using Move. This is all temporary. If you have any other questions the quickest response is on the Wiki Discord. Thanks.

Zie (talk) 21:15, 20 July 2023 (UTC)

The only thing that is an obstacle are images that cannot be replaced. The message I get from them is that they can't be overwritten, which prevents me from replacing an image. How can that be resolved?

About Reboot Season 5 release date[edit]

Hello Ironhide. Could you explain to us why did you put the release date of the Legends Season on its page? I want to know if you found it on some page or is an assumption you made, cause if its the later, we need you to remove it, cause its false and no one of the listings who has the channels which broadcasts the shows listed the season yet. We'll wait for your answer, thanks.

VentusZecter (talk) 22:22, 25 Januray 2023 (UTC)

When is the official release date for Legends? I've been waiting for a long time now, and Spin master is not giving us any details on that. Some people might think its March, and I thought of July which better not happen. I don't understand why this new season is being postponed until much later this year. What are Spin Master's reasons.

Greetings again. We still don't hear any news for the official release date of the Legends season, despite that it got broadcasted first on Germany. I think that it would release on March but, who knows really. The best we can do is to keep waiting for an announcement. Also don't take what i said of March as its possible release please. Thank you.

How can I delete a page that's already been created?

About Bakugan Reboot Generation 3 release date[edit]

I looked on the Generation 3 page and someone said that it was going to air in mid-2023. Where did that information come from exactly? I'd like to believe it, but in theory, each Bakugan season airs every year, so I think this new season in the new generation will air in 2024 next year.

Response[edit]

Hello, I checked the Generation 3 page. I do not see anything about an animated series airing in mid-2023. You may have read that wrong. There is no anime confirmed at the moment.

So far, there is only a toy-line confirmed, an Amazon listing has a shipping date of July 2023 for one of the products but nothing is official yet.

Also, in regards to your question about "how to redirect a page to a new title page; in other words". I think if I'm understanding you, do you mean how to rename a page?

If you're on the desktop view of the Wiki. You can look at the right "Page tools". Clicking "Move" will allow you to rename a page such as 'Drago' to 'Drago (Gen 2)' for example. Under "new name".

Update on page creation[edit]

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that I believe I have fixed the issue of non-sysop users not being able to make pages. You should be able to make freely create pages in any namespace at this point. I'm going to be keeping an eye on things to make sure spam bots don't abuse this, but for now standard users will have the ability to create pages.
