Sabra's design is derived from that of Maximus Nillious Ultra, an evolution for Darkus Nillious that appeared in the Age of Aurelus expansion set. A key difference between the designs is that the animation model for Sabra lacks Maximus Nillious' sixth head, which was meant to represent the Aurelus faction. The card art for Sabra also depicts it as having only two heads, and thus more closely resembles the standard Nillious design, even including the differently colored mouths and eyes.
