Avatar Baron was created by Marucho Marukura, in the episode of Bakugan: New Vestroia, Phantom Data Attack when the digital clone Bakugan were spotted. He was created to battle with Aranaut because Aranaut did not have a partner. He looks exactly like Baron Leltoy except for a reverse color change. The reason he looks the same is that Marucho created an opponent avatar of Baron for himself to battle between each other. The real Baron found him extremely annoying, ironically.
