A Variant (Unofficial name) is a Bakugan from the Bakugan Reboot that have some type of distinguishing outward feature. Unlike the Legacy Special Treatments, these variants do not typically come with any gameplay functions.

Diamond

Diamond Bakugan are Bakugan that have multiple parts of mold replaced with a clear plastic, and typically have glittery paint applied. These Bakugan come in both single packs and starter packs, and usually include a Diamond Evo Card specific to the Bakugan included.

Limited Edition are special Bakugan that are given out by Spin Master to BakuMasters, social media influencers, or winners or certain contests. There are currently three versions of the Limited Edition kit: one for Battle Planet, a second for Armored Alliance, and a third for Geogan Rising.

Each Bakugan Battle Planet Limited Edition kit comes with two translucent Pyrus Bakugan (Dragonoid and Dragonoid Ultra), two foil Character Cards and two foil BakuCore.

Each Bakugan: Armored Alliance Limited Edition kit comes with a translucent Armored Alliance Pyrus Dragonoid Ultra and a corresponding Magma Blaster.
