Karashina (カラシナ, Karashina?) is a character in BakuTech! Bakugan. He is a Darkus brawler. His partner is Borg Mahisas.

Appearance[edit]

Karashina is an androgynous dark blue-eyed young man with a long purple hair. He wears a skintight red-lined black suit which is accentuated by a yellow scarf with a red floral design and a purple skirt with red-lined black Samurai tassets. He also wears purple leggings and yellow-lined black shoes. His most notable accessory is his red forehead band with the inscription of Jyou (上, Jyou?) which denotes their master.

Manga[edit]

BakuTech! Bakugan[edit]

He is the leader and spokesman of the Ninja Trio called "The Shadow Sanjushi."

He is known to use two Ninja Techniques called Poisonous Insult (毒バリの術, Dokubari no Jutsu?) and Soothing Waterfall (滝ツボの術, Takitsubo no Jutsu?). The Poisonous Insult Technique involves reciting the opponent's embarrassing secret for that person to lose focus on the spot. Karashina did this to three people: Tatsuma for his incontinence, Hono Moetaro for being unlucky with women and Harubaru for his short term memory. The Soothing Waterfall Technique involves the retelling of the sad backstory of Master Jyou to affect the opposing team's morale.

Anime[edit]

BakuTech! Bakugan[edit]

Karashina makes his debut along with Tohga and Jinza. However, he and Jinza only appeared as a silhouette. Seeing that Harubaru has no more chance to win against Tohga, Karashina calls off the brawl and watches a little more as Harubaru insisted on another hopeless round.[1]

He and his comrades return with the objective of avenging their Master Jyou against Master Shimo. In the anime, it is shown that Karashina's Poisonous Insult technique involves a minuscule autocue written in his index finger and his Soothing Waterfall technique involves very badly-drawn sketches. Harubaru is known to be unaffected by both techniques.[2]
