Apollyon (アポリオン, Aporion?) is a skeleton/warrior-based Bakugan that debut in Bakugan Battle Planet. It was first seen in promotional material at Emerald City Comic Con 2019. Its shield can be seen in some Action Cards such as Bone Defense. In the anime, a Haos Apollyon is owned by Philomena Dusk, a Darkus Apollyon was seen as a component for Cloptor x Apollyon in Bakugan: Armored Alliance, and an Aurelus variant is a guardian for the Supreme Council in Bakugan: Geogan Rising.

Bakugan Battle Planet[edit]

Apollyon first appears in the episode Punch the Clock, where its ball form appears in a large container of liquid, as Philomena Dusk looks at it with a smile before the episode ends. Its monster form debuts in the episode Awesome vs. AAAnimus, Part 2, where Philomena uses it to battle the Awesome Ones. Apollyon easily defeats Lupitheon, Vicerox, Gorthion, Artulean, and Cyndeous in one hit before being defeated by the evolved forms of Dragonoid, Trox, Howlkor, Pegatrix, and Hydorous.
Physical Game[edit]
While Apollyon has not yet seen a physical release as a standalone toy, it is a component of the fusion Bakugan Cloptor x Apollyon from Armored Alliance.

- Despite normal power of Apollyon being 600, there's one member of species with his power being 850.
- Apollyon's name likely comes from the Greek name for the biblical Abaddon, the angel of the bottomless pit mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
