Artulean (アーチュリーン, Āchurīn?) is an android-like Bakugan in Bakugan Battle Planet. He is the second partner Bakugan of Lightning. Although a Pyrus Character Card of it exists, it only made it to the prototype stage and was not released.

Information[edit]

Description[edit]

Anime[edit]

Bakugan Battle Planet[edit]

Artulean was found in a ball of goo by Lightning, and was inducted into the Awesome Ones. Later in the day, Magnus Black and Nillious show up and attempt to brainwash Artulean against the Awesome Ones, however with coaxing from Lightning and Howlkor, Artulean was able to snap out of it.[1]

Physical Game[edit]

Artulean Ultra is unreleased - only prototypes of it exist. A Character Card of the Pyrus version was made early on in development, it is not available physically and only appeared on TCGPlayer before being replaced with Aurelus Pyravian Ultra's Character Card.

Trivia[edit]

  • It is commonly thought that Artulean is based on EVA-01 from Neon Genesis Evangelion, this is due to the Darkus color scheme used in Battle Planet being very similar to the colors of EVA-01. Despite this, the reference is likely unintentional as Artulean bears no other resemblance to the character.
