Etymology[edit]

The Kanji in the Japanese name of Goon Ikarus, (On: gun,kun/ Kun: ikusa), means army, whose On is also the origin of 'Goon'. Also, in Greek mythology, Icarus was the son of inventor Daedalus. In order to escape from Crete, he and his father created bird-like wings to fly to their freedom. Icarus is best remembered for disobeying his father by flying too close to the sun. The sun melted the wax in Icarus' wings, causing him to fall and drown in the open sea.

Trivia[edit]

  • Goon Ikarus's bird form is similar to Ingram's bird mask.
