Etymology[edit]

The Kanji in the Japanese name of Rise Dragaon, (On: ten/Kun: sora, ama, ame), means sky or heaven. 'Dragaon' is derived from the word 'Dragon' and the onomatopoeia for roaring, 'gao'.

Trivia[edit]

  • Rise Dragaon was once named Dragon Type (ドラゴンタイプ, Doragon Taipu?)[1] and Third-Generation Dragaon (3代目ドラガオン, Sandaime Doragaon?) tentatively.
  • Rise Dragaon's diamond is located on his torso, similar to how the Perfect Core is located on Drago's torso.
    • It has a horn in the middle of its head, which is also similar to Dragonoid's, instead of a diamond in its previous forms.
  • Dragaon is said to be Flame Aigle's older brother in the latter's product description.[2]
  • The canonical colors of Rise Dragaon are the ones from BTD-03 and BTC-44. The BTD version is its initial or newly evolved form with silver horns and cross. It further evolved with gold horn and cross just like the BTC version during the first-season finale
